  1. Those are good covers! If I had to pick just one….Maybe the Spider-Man.

    Ponytail: Congrats!!!!!

Drea: I hope your friend is better today!

    1. @Tam Thanks. He has numerous infections and is going to need surgery so long road ahead but Doctors say he’ll eventually recover. How’s your back? Did the treatments help at all?

      1. Sending prayers to you friend Drea! I’m glad his chances of recovery are good.
My back? The shots were only temporary. I have spinal stenosis (I have a bone spur pressing into my spinal cord). I’ll have to have surgery later but right now, I’m building up my core. There are some things that are painful and some that aren’t. I could probably swim the English Channel without a twinge but walking the mall is ….not fun. Watching Dr Jo has given me a new appreciation for dealing with stuff. I can’t complain too much after seeing what she went through. Thanks for asking about me though! When are you moving back home?

  2. Woah! Some of these covers are a tad Austin Powers psychedelic baby!

Must be the Christmas ‘spirit’ (*hic*) as I find I prefer the covers to Spiderman, Captain Marvel and Hawkman. Doomsday Clock needs more study as I can’t quite work out what’s going on but I kinda like this one too!

    1. Hmmm. Maybe it’s because I grew up surrounded by Peter Max style art, but I kinda like the throw back to the 60s-70s Gasoline cover. It’s like comfort food from one’s childhood.

  3. @gforce. @jimfromjersey, @Drea, @Tam – Thank you for the retirement congrats. I’m a little too young for social security right now so this should be interesting… My parents are doing okay. They are making plans for my retirement. My mom wants me to take her to JC Penney. 😆 My dad wants to go for more car rides. (he wants to drive) On Christmas day he asked my mom what time he has to go to work. My mom said “dear you are 92. You are retired and don’t work anymore.” Irritated he said “shit!” (like…yes I do!). I asked him where he worked and he didn’t know. I said, see, you are retired. His mind is going.

    1. That’s too funny. I love stories about your parents. They sound so dear.

I have one friend that retired early and just lived off his savings until SS. I hope you can do the same?

  4. Doomsday Clock, Fantomah & Gasolina “mezcal” are my top favs. Intriguing covers this week. Those boys on the cover of Sink are up to no good!
