  1. I am still very disappointed the series won’t find its way onto TV. But I am finding a sense of satisfaction knowing what was in the works for the characters and the show. I can’t thank you enough for these #DarkGate sessions.

  2. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thanks for giving us a semblance of closure. I still hope somehow and somewhere we can see the series finalized on a screen. I just finished binge watching the last season on Netflix and I’m truly heartbroken, already miss all the characters…must have been great fun to work in this project. Keeping fingers crossed we will see more of this in the Future.

    Great work!

  3. Thank you for this show. I was going through a pretty bad depression and I started binge watching Dark Matter, at first I thought it was campy and eventually the cast grew on me, I fell in love with them. I was on the edge of my seat when their lives were on the lines, I cheered when they saved the day, and I felt their pain. I became immersed in the world of Dark Matter, and it was wonderful. Now they’re gone… I feel lost, and abandoned. I wish the Netflix gods would take pitty on us and revive this show, I need more. I need it.

  4. Thank you so much for answering almost all my questions during yesterday’s #DarkGate Q&A! I really appreciate that.
Just in case you can effort a little more time to answer further questions – there is one left, which is probably better to answer here in your blog than with the limited number of characters in Twitter:
Are you allowed to tell us more about this almost happening Dark Matter/Stargate Crossover, which you wrote about in your blog on October 12 (https://josephmallozzi.wordpress.com/2017/10/12/october-12-2017-how-mgm-almost-saved-dark-matter-and-how-close-we-came-to-a-dark-matterstargate-crossover/)? Has it to do with the idea to “bring the original SG-1 team onto the show as a completely different team the Raza crew encounters on an op”, which you mentioned at the Q&A on December 7?
As a huge fan of Stargate SG-1 and Dark Matter, I would have loved to see something like this happen!
For now, I wish you all the best for your current projects. I am impatiently looking forward to your next show.

  5. The #DarkGate Q&A was again, fantastic. Many thanks, Joe.

I’ve a question to ask for your mailbag blog entry when you announce that 👍

  6. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this! The last two seasons would have been epic but knowing the story you had laid out
is a bit of a salve on that cancellation wound.

  7. Apologies for arriving late to the post but thank you so much for your time and answers to our burning questions. As has already been stated here, your explanations give some closure to the emptiness we all now face.
Season’s 4 & 5 sounded like they would have easily surpassed the epic-ness of Season 3! So happy, too, that you would have tried to bring back ONE …

Last night’s (& previous) twitter #DarkGate was such great fun – Really, Joe, thank you.

  8. Stargate SG1 was the best and you should have stayed on it. These stories from future are of no interest. I just finished watching season 2 of “Dark Matter” with characters like dolls, not live humans. What a travesty this chief of corporation that lost voting on addition of 3 members! He could not hide feelings and pounded the desk. Ridiculous line. Anyway, I regret only about SG1 series.

  9. Thank you for this. YAY! I wanted Wexler to be in team. Although I hoped there would be more questions about Three

  10. Ok. 1. I can’t believe I’m this far behind on reading and 2. I’m bummed to see this because it should have been different. Also, 3. Thanks for sharing. <3

  11. Hi there Mr Mallozi, just wanted say Dark Matter is awesome!
However, you need to finish the storyline. Either by a season 4 or by a movie to wrap up all the lose ends.
My understanding is that neither Syfy nor Netflix will sponsor it?
Just curious, do you have the concluded storylines, sets and actors available and ready if you got the funding? What kind of budget are in need of to do it? Just curious?

  12. I mean to say that all of us fans are “hanging on the cliff”. You need to tie it all up. It looks like the series had about a million viewers an episode if you can trust the online statistics which certainly doesn’t count those of us who discovered your gem on Netflix.
I’m sure that could translate to five to ten million at the box office? What about fan funding a movie project? Just a thought?
