January 6, 2016: Dark Matter Season 2, Episode 202, Day 4!

Today was all about the Android.  Between set-ups, I finally got a chance to sit down with actress Zoie Palmer and take her through our plans for the Android in season 2.  We discussed the surprising encounter in Episode 204, the wildly atypical happenings in Episode 205, and those late-season developments and payoffs (plus much of the in-between).  Then, it was back to set – the tech room – for “Lights out!  Mayhem!”.

Tomorrow, Misaki Han, the new Commander of the Royal Guards of the Imperial House of Ishida hits Hyperion-8 while Chief Inspector Shaddick of the Galactic Authority’s Serious Crimes Division grills the crew.

It’s truly Double Jeopardy Day!

  1. Zoie must have been so excited to hear the great things you have planned for her character this season. I know we are all excited to find out too!

  2. More action for the android, cool, looking forward to it, Zoie looks great in the chair. thanks for sharing!

  3. It’s amazing how your sets just “come together”. Very polished! Serious Crimes Division sounds very serious. Interested in seeing how this goes. My big question is: did Six not only betray the crew, did he sell out Two & reveal her big secret/identity?

  4. Yay, Android!
    See … I knew I was right! …
I thought that was 2 sitting in that concept drawing … I got it all wrong again!

  5. Hey! G. I ‘d Joe! (short for Gee! aye–aye-ya- Eyed!, Senor Joe)

I said, I hope everyone has a “mirthful mayhem” filled Wednesday! Not the DANGEROUS (and likely quite painful, via stubbing ones toe stumbling about in the dark or giving birth nine months later due to blindly stumbling about in the dark), lights out kind!!! 😀

  6. More cool sets, wow. Who is styling all these awesome dos, is it the same stylists from SGU? Everyone is rocking awesome coifs on DM, and on the SG verse for that matter.

  7. BTW Joe: Regarding Saturday’s Periscope,

If you follow the instructions below you can tweet a watch on web link for those who do not have the periscope app. Also: You can elect to “record” the session. This will preserve the session at their site for 24 hrs after the broadcast for anyone who cannot attend the live event.

@Periscope writes: “You can choose to share your Periscope broadcasts on Twitter by tapping the bird icon before you start broadcasting. When you go live, you’ll tweet a link so that your Twitter followers can watch on the web (or in the app).”

Hope everyone had a great day today! xo

  8. Life continues for our intrepid crew. Speaking of…I had a dream about you last night, Joe. A weird one. You were on a very small station on Mars with some other folks. You were showing me around. You warned me about the killer potato bugs, so named because they looked like little potatoes. They would fly around minding their own business until they started buzzing someone. If that person swatted at them or killed one, they’d attack en-mass, which would kill the victim, because, well, they are killer potato bugs. You explained to me that the only way to get rid of them was to turn one intense lights that attracted them. Then they could be led back outside to their natural environment. By the way, with all the violence that happens to the Raza crew, why do none of them ever get PTSD? That’s the psychologist in me. Sorry. Watch out for the potato bugs.
