Everything just seems like it is falling apart. My husband decided to share he is in the middle of a serious mid-life crisis last week and today I found out my job might be in danger (or at least warning signs have gone up to me when they suggested I take what is known here in the states as Family Medical Leave Act, but then found out I’m not even doing part-time work so I don’t really qualify for that (leave without pay). I asked them to please just muddle through with me and I’m hoping that things will get better by next month. I’m hoping 21 years on the job of being an exemplary full-time employee will count (but we’ve lost accounts and people are being laid off).
I have watch those 10 episodes at least 3 times already can not wait for Apr 2nd 9pm.

I will be so glad to finally see some real aliens. Can’t say as I’m looking forward to IOA lady in command, though. But maybe that’s because I’ve recently been listening to the audiobook of Harry Potter 5 and the whole business reminds me a little too much of Umbridge.
Regarding the titles, are any of the words ones that we’d never be able to guess, like made-up names?
Saw that Robert Carlyle was going behind the camera soon! I didn’t think he’d be allowed since he was not a Canadian citizen? Recalled the Flan wasn’t allowed for that reason. Did you guys pull some strings?
you and everyone else working on SG-U have out done your selves with this new trailer, i havn’t wanted to see the scond half of a series this much since…well the second half of atlantis’ 5th season.
somethings been bugging me though, Hypotheticly, if Atlantis had an unlimited supply of ZPMs and it left now, would it be possible for it to catch up to destiny, assuming they knew where Destiny was, or is Destiny’s FTL drive faster then Atlantis’ Hyperdrive?
WOOOOO!!! Saw the trailer a few hours ago, and since then I’ve watched it 6 times. Not that much compared to some of the others on Gateworld, but I like to sparse out the Awesome – I wouldn’t want an Awesome overload, would I? That’d be messy.
Anyway, the second half of the season is looking SPECTACULAR! So many intriguing plot points, and the ALIENS!! Holy crap, that was incredible CGI. Very creepy.
And also that spire! I wonder what that’s about. Perhaps the last vestige of a dead civilization? This is exactly the kind of stuff I wanted out of SGU from the beginning. It’s time to take these well-developed characters and throw some hardcore Sci-Fi into their faces!

There is something that I have always wondered… Why didn’t the SG teams drive a car through the gate so that they can drive on the distant planets that they are visiting rather than walk, especially when it was far?
Oooh. Trailer, schematics, word games… Makes for a nice break from fruitless internet job-hunting (meh). The trailer is very cool — makes me wish it was April already.
Well, shoot, I was going to guess “The Greater Good” for episode 7, but several people beat me to it, so I’ll just have to go with my second guess of “The Treacle Bars”, which makes no sense but sounds tasty.
Hmm. Don’t know if I’m just feeling contrary, but the trailer didn’t do much for me. The view of the aliens coming through the gate did grab my attention, but overall I can’t say the video has increased my anticipation. Still, the show looks like its beginning to find its stride. We’ll find out soon enough I guess.
I have to admit to sketch overdose. Don’t stop, but my eyes are beginning to glaze as I try to absorb details from so many different things. thank you for sharing with us, and kudos for the PTB for letting you share.

Off work today and making cookies for a friend. They are called Chocolate Coma cookies. Inside these little drops of heavenly dough rest dried cherries and two kind of chocolate. Yummmmm. The best thing is hubby/son won’t eat them because I added the cherries! More for the rest of us 😀 .
Last day of suspension and then spring break! Heading to Nashville to see friends and eat lots of food.
Gotta go before we leave town and set up rat trap at the humane society-wish me luck catching our unwanted pest. I hate rats!

Seriously though, me and my Uncle managed to stop at the parking area and walk around a bit. It was pretty empty, and we couldn’t find where they were filming. There was a kid hanging around the school practicing tennis and even he didn’t know where you guys were.
Still, I did see a trailer door with the name “Camille” written on it. That was pretty cool! And yes, I resisted the urge to knock on that door and freak out Ming Na…but just barely. 😉
I wish I could have been a fly on the wall during that meeting. As a Special Education teacher (Ontario) I’ve written many an Individual Education Plan. I’m just curious as to the difference between here and there in writing and implementing.
I’m wondering, Joe … how did all of you on SGU (crew & cast) manage to pull off such a massive secret undertaking … taking all the notes that people were very vocally complaining about on several websites … and then go back and re-shoot those 10 episodes so that you could give those very vocal complainers what they wanted?
Totally, totally amazing … the magnitude of it. Astounding.

Anyhow … really looking forward to what SGU is bringing on, especially considering I *liked* the first half of the season and am very much appreciating the differently-paced-than-previous-Stargate-series storytelling.

I just got in from a big day (work, doctor’s visit, dinner at the in-laws) and trying to catch up:
@ PBMom – {{hugs}} Hang in there! Everything is on such shaky ground right now – nothing is secure. I hope things level out for you – this economy is killing us all, I think. We just decided to put on a new much-needed roof, and ever since I signed the down-payment check, hubby has been in ‘nervous breakdown’ mode. 😛 He’s just fretting so over it, and I’m fretting over work, and – ya know what my mom said? She said, “We’ve always had hard times, and when your father wanted to go to Acapulco year after year, I always argued that we couldn’t afford it. But I went, and I don’t regret it – ever. We’ll always have debt, but we also have some great once-in-a-lifetime memories.”
Basically, I think she was saying to learn how to stop and smell the roses. In times like this, I think that’s the best way to keep your sanity.

Seriously though, me and my Uncle managed to stop at the parking area and walk around a bit. It was pretty empty, and we couldn’t find where they were filming. There was a kid hanging around the school practicing tennis and even he didn’t know where you guys were.
Still, I did see a trailer door with the name “Camille” written on it. That was pretty cool! And yes, I resisted the urge to knock on that door and freak out Ming Na…but just barely. 😉

I wish I could have been a fly on the wall during that meeting. As a Special Education teacher (Ontario) I’ve written many an Individual Education Plan. I’m just curious as to the difference between here and there in writing and implementing.
I’m wondering, Joe … how did all of you on SGU (crew & cast) manage to pull off such a massive secret undertaking … taking all the notes that people were very vocally complaining about on several websites … and then go back and re-shoot those 10 episodes so that you could give those very vocal complainers what they wanted?
Totally, totally amazing … the magnitude of it. Astounding.
Whoops. Forgot to add [sarcasm] and [/sarcasm]. My faux pas.
Anyhow … really looking forward to what SGU is bringing on, especially considering I *liked* the first half of the season and am very much appreciating the differently-paced-than-previous-Stargate-series storytelling.

That trailer really is fantastic. I was wavering on whether I was going to watch, but it has me all excited now for the back half of the season. The people/person who made it should get a raise.

I just got in from a big day (work, doctor’s visit, dinner at the in-laws) and trying to catch up:
@ PBMom – {{hugs}} Hang in there! Everything is on such shaky ground right now – nothing is secure. I hope things level out for you – this economy is killing us all, I think. We just decided to put on a new much-needed roof, and ever since I signed the down-payment check, hubby has been in ‘nervous breakdown’ mode. 😛 He’s just fretting so over it, and I’m fretting over work, and – ya know what my mom said? She said, “We’ve always had hard times, and when your father wanted to go to Acapulco year after year, I always argued that we couldn’t afford it. But I went, and I don’t regret it – ever. We’ll always have debt, but we also have some great once-in-a-lifetime memories.”
Basically, I think she was saying to learn how to stop and smell the roses. In times like this, I think that’s the best way to keep your sanity.
